Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group

Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are the NHS organisation responsible for planning, commissioning (or buying) and developing healthcare services for the population of Lincolnshire.

Oaks were commissioned by Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group to undertake a comprehensive board governance review and develop a board development strategy on their behalf. The project was stimulated because of a recent merger between various smaller Clinical Commissioning Groups within Lincolnshire and as such they wanted Oaks to support in reviewing board effectiveness, decision-making processes, management of conflict, internal and external communications, stakeholder effectiveness, transparency, accountability, and lines of reporting. We were subsequently commissioned to develop a governance action plan and board development strategy that would see Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group become the exemplar for best practice governance in the health sector.

Laureus Sport for Good

Laureus is a global movement that celebrates the power of sport to bring people together as a force for good. The charity now supports over 100 sports-based community initiatives across 35 countries to combat social challenges facing children and young people, such as violence and crime, discrimination, lack of education, unemployment, and preventable diseases.

We are currently guiding their board and senior executives through a strategy development process, through which they are seeking to create a ten-year strategic plan. The process includes consultation with partners, grantees, funders, beneficiaries, and strategic stakeholders such as the UNHCR, and the theory of change/logic framework currently being developed is being mapped to the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

Oaks worked with their team to develop a concomitant fundraising strategy, which will underpin the global strategy. We are supporting its implementation, helping them to execute fundraising activities in respect of institutional grant funders and corporate partnerships.
