We are pleased to confirm that Aquila has been accredited by Cyber Essentials to guard against security threats and demonstrate our commitment to cyber security.

In today’s connected world, it is important to ensure that personal and organisational data is kept safe and cannot be stolen or misused. Cyber security is the practise of protecting critical systems and sensitive information from digital attacks. A successful cybersecurity approach must have multiple layers of protection spread across the computers, networks, programs, or data that are required to be kept safe.  At an organisation like Aquila, the people, processes, and technology must all complement one another to create an effective defence from cyber-attacks.

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is an effective, Government backed scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks.

It sets out five controls which you can implement immediately to strengthen your cyber defences:

1. Use a firewall to secure your internet connection

2. Choose the most secure settings for your devices and software

3. Control who has access to your data and services

4. Protect yourself from viruses and other malware

5. Keep your devices and software up to date

What does our accreditation mean?

Being accredited by Cyber Essentials means that Aquila and its subsidiaries Altair, ATFS and Oaks are able to:

• reassure customers that our IT is secure against cyber-attacks.
• attract new business with the promise we have cyber security measures in place. This is essential for working on some government contracts.
• assure our clients we have a clear picture of our organisation’s cyber security level.
